Woven Meadows offers a farm-credit program. Customers can make a prepayment to the farm in exchange for farm credit, plus an additional 10% bonus added onto their initial payment (see below). So for example, a $1000 prepayment equals a $1100 farm credit. That’s like earning 10% interest on an investment—a great rate these days! Farm credit can be used to purchase all our present and future farm products—pastured meat, eggs, and dairy—directly from the farm or at Farmers’ Markets. Bulk purchases like chicken freezer-fillers and whole/half pigs can also be made from the credit. We keep a form with your credit balance on hand; when you add money or make a purchase, we update your credit form and simply ask you to sign off on the amount.

This is an important form of community support for us, as your prepayment provides the farm with needed income before and during the raising and growing, allowing us to purchase livestock, certified-organic animal feed, and equipment and infrastructure. As we are also working on developing an on-farm creamery to produce healthy, grass-fed farmstead cheese, raw milk, and other dairy products, your contribution now helps provide us with the funds to build and equip this licensed facility. Financial support from our community members is unparalleled, far preferable to loans from lenders. We’d much rather pay interest to you than to a bank!
